I always have my water bladder with me, so I can hydrate as I hike without stopping

Favorite Trip ever:
My favorite trip was hiking the Via Ferrata in Colorado. The hike requires you to be harnessed to cables attached to the mountain. It consists of short ledges with long drops that force you to hug the mountain as you hike. The most famous section of it is a wall that has metal rods drilled into it. The only was to cross is to scale the wall with the rods. It was terrifying and amazing to look down and see forest hundreds of feet below you. It was an incredible hike that I hope to do again soon.

My favorite adventure trip I’ve taken was a summer I spent working in Denali, Alaska. Going backcountry camping in the park and watching the Northern Lights for the first time was beyond amazing!

Outside of camping and hiking, I spend a lot of time in the ocean. You’ll find me either surfing or bodysurfing all over the island!

Favorite Gear:
Whether it’s a full-tang fixed blade or a folding 3.5 inch, I always make sure I carry a knife with me outdoors. Beyond personal protection, knives are incredibly useful multi-function tools that can cut cord or fabric, strike a flint rod, cut food, and much more.

Favorite Trip ever:
This past summer my girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to take a trip together to France and Italy as a graduation present to her. We took nothing except one carry-on each and spent three weeks exploring the best of both countries by train, car, and foot. From wine country to big cities to alpine lakes, the diversity we experienced left us with lifetime memories and a reinvigorated appetite for adventure.
