How to size LEKI Trekking Poles?
Trekking poles are designed to were your arm is supposed to sit comfortably at a 90 degree angle when walking across flat surfaces. First step is figuring out your height (inches or centimeters) then correlating it to length advisement provided by LEKI.
Please see the chart below:
Once you're able to correlate your height to pole length unclasp, one at a time, the pole and pull the structure to the number you correlated with. Feels to tall or short? Adjust accordingly starting from in initial measurements.
ALL MARKINGS ON THE TREKKING POLES ARE IN CM! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FINAL MEASUREMENTS ARE IN CM AND ADJUST TO THE LINE ACCORDINGLY.
Once your arm sits comfortably at 90 degrees adjust the straps as need.
Any uphill movement? We recommend shorting the poles as needed.
Any downhill movement? We recommend lengthening the poles as needed.
Both movements are based on your personal judgment when moving on the trails.
The straps can be adjusted as well and should fit snug but not to tight to allow comfortability while hiking around the world!
