When sizing a running vest it is important to follow the manufacturer's guildelines. For example Salomon running vest typically run on a smaller fit compared to most brands inwhich you may need to go up a size if the vest is to tight.

If you are confused as to whether or not you need to size up or down within a vest most manafactures based their sizes on a couple of measurements. Measuring bust circumference and sternum or ribcage circumference, then comparing it to the manafactures sizing guide can assist when picking out what size you will need.

The fit over all should be quite snug to limit movement while running. If the vest is to big it will shift/bounce around causing distractions and making it quite uncomfortable to wear especially if it causes chafing. When trying on the vest its important to see how it lays around your shoulders/neck and under arm area. These areas are at a higher risk of chafing. If it appears to loose in those areas try a size down. If you are uncomfortable around your arms or noting that it is restrictive in movement then the vest maybe to small and you will need to size up one. The best solution is coming in with a style and size in mind for what vest you are looking for and trying the product on in person (if and when possible).

The vest itself needs to have room for adjustments. When trying on the vest if the straps are as far apart as possible or the front is as tight as possible then you most likely have the wrong size on and need to adjust accordingly.

Some brands carry women specific vest. These vest typically have more room in the bust/shoulder area and are a bit shorter in length.

Salomon running vest are predominentaly unisex. Please utilize the link above or the images below to assit in identifying the size you need to get outside!

Trekking poles are designed to were your arm is supposed to sit comfortably at a 90 degree angle when walking across flat surfaces. First step is figuring out your height (inches or centimeters) then correlating it to length advisement provided by LEKI. 

Please see the chart below:

Once you're able to correlate your height to pole length unclasp, one at a time, the pole and pull the structure to the number you correlated with. Feels to tall or short? Adjust accordingly starting from in initial measurements. 

Once your arm sits comfortably at 90 degrees adjust the straps as need.

Any uphill movement? We recommend shorting the poles as needed.

Any downhill movement? We recommend lengthening the poles as needed. 

Both movements are based on your personal judgment when moving on the trails.

The straps can be adjusted as well and should fit snug but not to tight to allow comfortability while hiking around the world!
