Wondering how to keep busy during the month of MAY?
HAPPY MAY! The month of in which we begin the transition from spring to summer, create leis on the first, and PARTICIPATE IN SO MANY EVENTS AROUND THE ISLAND! ULOHA will be doing so much this month: ranging from races and triathlons to volunteering and removing invasives. Click on the IMAGE ABOVE to check out our events calendar to find out how YOU CAN GET INVOLVED.
Introducing… ULOHA’s May SPOTLIGHT THEME
In May, ULOHA will be focussing on invasive vs native species. Being an island, Hawaii has quite a specific set of native plants and species. Over the past few decades, so many invasives have been introduced (whether with good intentions or otherwise). Keep your eyes peeled for May events w/ ULOHA to work on eliminating invasives. TOGETHER we can restore natives to Oahu, conserve the natural environment, and protect our community.
Interested in the Hawaiian environment?
Do you have an interest in conservation, sustainability, or native/invasive species on Oahu?! Stop by ULOHA on CINCO DE MAYO (this Friday: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm) to hear THE Ryan Chang discuss these very subjects. Click on the IMAGE BELOW to register - tickets are FREE! You don’t want to miss this presentation!
