This day is one of ULOHA’s favorite days of the year! There are many ways to help our Mother Earth and celebrate this wonderful day. This coming Saturday, April 22nd is EARTH DAY. ULOHA is excited to participate in Onizuka Day of Exploration (from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) at University of Hawaii - West Oahu (in Kapolei). This will be a STEM event, with so many exciting opportunities to participate in discovery, learning, and MORE. Stop by ULOHA’s booth to learn about the essentials of wilderness travel, walter filtration systems, and how to properly fit a hiking backpack. See you on EARTH DAY!

This week is NATIONAL VOLUNTEER week! At Uloha, we are passionate about giving back to the community and aina, so we’re very enthusiastic to participate. On Monday we worked at Ala Mahamoe Cultural Garden with the Sierra Club, weeding and watering native plants. Tomorrow, on Wednesday, we will work with 808CleanUps to restore Nimitz Beach- click HERE to learn more + participate. Friday is our big EARTH DAY event, in which we will be planting native trees along Kuliouou Ridge Trail- click HERE to learn more + participate.
