  These new shirts feature beautiful native species designed by a LOCAL artist! We have dri-fit hoodies, t-shirts, and more tops. These shirts are SO comfy and versatile - wear them while you’re chilling at home or on your outdoor adventures.  And the best part is: 10% of the revenue we generate from the sales of these shirts will be donated to the local nonprofit that we’re spotlighting for that given month.   Come on in to ULOHA to see this shirts in person or click here to check 'em out online!  

Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is ULOHA’s May Spotlight! This means that we get to feature some of their focuses and highlights on the front table of ULOHA. Because our theme this month is “invasives,” DLNR displayed many items relating to the work they do in invasive removal, featuring an example (the bellyache plant) for you to see/touch!  Come in to ULOHA to check out the table!

DLNR’s mission is to promote and engage in conservation and sustainability to protect our aina. They provide resources to volunteer, learn, AND MORE to help! Look out for collaborations this month between ULOHA and DLNR!

HAPPY MAY! The month of in which we begin the transition from spring to summer, create leis on the first, and PARTICIPATE IN SO MANY EVENTS AROUND THE ISLAND! ULOHA will be doing so much this month: ranging from races and triathlons to volunteering and removing invasives. In May, ULOHA will be focussing on invasive vs native species. Being an island, Hawaii has quite a specific set of native plants and species. Over the past few decades, so many invasives have been introduced (whether with good intentions or otherwise). Keep your eyes peeled for May events w/ ULOHA to work on eliminating invasives. TOGETHER we can restore natives to Oahu, conserve the natural environment, and protect our community.
